How the persistent cycle works
Scarab runs in a 10-spin cycle. When a Scarab symbol lands, its position is marked with a gold border. Those marked positions remain visible during the cycle. On the tenth wagered spin, all marked positions transform into wild symbols for that spin, then the cycle resets.
Why the state matters
A machine abandoned partway through the 10-spin cycle can carry both remaining-spin information and already-marked positions. That means the next player may inherit progress that the previous player paid to create.
What to inspect
Read the current spin in the cycle, count the useful gold-bordered positions, and note where those positions sit on the reels. Position matters because wilds on earlier reels can interact with more paylines than isolated marks on the far-right side.
