Base game versus variant
Beat the dealer while understanding that a free wager normally returns only winnings and that a specified dealer result can push otherwise winning player hands.
The operator pays eligible free-wager wins without returning a player-funded principal. Dealer 22 commonly pushes surviving hands in prominent versions, but posted rules control.
Side wagers
Push-based bonuses, pot wagers and standard blackjack side bets are separate from the free-action base game.
A familiar brand name can support several approved schedules.
Comparison checklist
Confirm blackjack payout, dealer soft-17 rule, push total, double eligibility, split eligibility and whether bonuses or side bets are bundled.
Free-double totals, free-split pairs, resplits and ordinary cash-funded exceptions vary. Strategy must price the free stake and the modified dealer settlement together.
Common mistakes
Treating the marker as cash, reusing a normal blackjack chart, or ignoring the dealer-push branch produces wrong advice.
On an eligible free double, the player keeps the original wager at risk but receives a marker for the double portion; a winning hand pays both portions according to the table procedure.
The label is not the specification
For Free Bet Blackjack Variants and Side Bets, the casino funds selected doubles and splits, but the push-22 rule pays for that benefit. Both sides of the trade belong in the comparison.
For Free Bet Blackjack Variants and Side Bets, casino names travel more easily than rule sheets. Treat each variant and side wager as a separate product until the posted terms match.
Treat Free Bet Blackjack Variants and Side Bets as its own rules package. A familiar brand or layout is not enough to import a percentage from another version.
