Define the state
Six or eight 48-card Spanish decks are common: every standard rank remains except the four cards ranked ten in each deck. Jacks, queens and kings still count as ten.
Build a total closer to 21 than the dealer without exceeding 21. A player 21 commonly wins immediately, including against dealer 21, under the posted rules.
Apply the decision
Player options can include hit, stand, double, split, surrender and redouble. Eligibility after splitting and the number of redoubles must be copied from the table rules.
Start from a Spanish-21 strategy created for the exact deck count, soft-17 rule, surrender, doubling and bonus schedule. Standard blackjack charts are not valid substitutes.
Settle every unit
If a five-card 21 qualifies for a bonus, compare that posted award with ordinary 21 settlement; do not assume every five-card total or split hand is eligible.
Naturals, player 21 and specified multi-card or suited 21s can receive priority or bonus payouts. The exact bonus schedule controls.
Audit the result
Removing tens hurts the player, while liberal actions and bonus awards return value. Expected value must combine card composition, action rules and every bonus category.
