What UTH Strategy Mistakes Cost

Ultimate Texas Hold’em mistakes are priced by the extra wager and the conditional difference between actions, not by whether the hand eventually wins.

Incremental EV

At each decision, compare the expected value of the legal Play wagers with checking or folding. A missed 4× raise can be expensive because four units—not one—were withheld when the conditional position was favorable.

Three common leaks

Checking qualifying preflop hands, over-raising weak flop draws, and folding river hands with fewer than 21 practical dealer outs are the most important table-use errors in the simplified system.

How we measure it

For a state s, mistake cost is EV(best action | s) − EV(chosen action | s). A population estimate weights that difference by how often the state occurs. We do not publish a universal dollars-per-hour figure without the exact strategy, pay table and wager mix.

Scope: Educational expected-value analysis. Verify the exact game, rules and pay table before applying a result.
