This chart assumes 3:2 blackjack, DA2, DAS, no surrender, dealer peek, split to four hands, and no resplitting or hitting split aces.

Why it differs

Fewer decks change close doubling and pair decisions. Do not substitute the 4–8 deck chart simply because the table otherwise looks conventional.

The chart selects the action with the greatest expected value under the stated deck count, dealer rule, doubling, splitting, surrender and dealer-blackjack procedure.

Scope: These are rule-matched, total-dependent starting-hand charts—not composition-dependent charts. Exceptions can occur in one- and two-deck play. Insurance and side bets are excluded.
