Always-play groups
Play every pair or better, every ace-high hand, and every king-high hand. These all exceed the queen-high boundary.
With queen-high, the lower cards become decisive.
Queen-high comparison
Play Q-7-x or better. With Q-6-x, play Q-6-4 or Q-6-5 and fold Q-6-3 or lower.
Fold Q-5-x and lower queen-high hands.
Why the line exists
Folding has a certain result of losing one Ante. Playing adds a second unit and creates several settlement branches based on dealer qualification and hand comparison.
Enumeration shows where the incremental expected value of Play overtakes folding.
What does not change the decision
Pair Plus results do not alter the Ante/Play action because that wager settles independently. Past dealer hands and streaks are irrelevant.
A different base qualification rule or bonus schedule can require new analysis.
