UTH Blind and Trips Pay-Table Comparison

Compare the compulsory Blind schedule separately from optional Trips and progressive side bets.

Published September 22, 2026Reviewed by Casino Calculated Editorial TeamMethod: stated assumptions + reproducible formulas

Blind first

The Blind schedule affects a compulsory wager and therefore the base-game return. Record straight, flush, full-house and higher payouts exactly.

Trips separately

Trips is optional and has its own return. A generous Trips schedule does not repair a weak Blind schedule and vice versa.

Comparison method

Weight every net payout by its exact probability under the stated dealing and strategy model. Keep base-game and optional-wager denominators separate.

Separate the UTH settlement layers

Ante, Blind and Play belong to the base game but do not settle identically. Trips is an optional independent wager, and a progressive is another product again. Compare each schedule separately before combining their expected costs.

Comparison worksheet

For each table, record the Blind schedule, Trips schedule, progressive contribution, dealer-qualification wording and maximum/minimum Play multiples. Then apply strategy to the base game and evaluate optional wagers independently.

Why headline awards mislead

A larger rare-hand payout may coexist with reductions to more frequent outcomes. Use probability-weighted value across the whole schedule rather than ranking tables by their top award.

Standard Blind net payouts

The player must win the hand for this schedule to pay. A tie pushes. Below a straight, a player win pushes the Blind.

Compare compulsory and optional wagers separately

Record the whole posted schedule and any payout cap. A Trips table pays from the player’s hand category and follows its own rules; it is not the Blind table. Changing Trips does not change this calculator’s base-game settlement.
