Made hands
Two pair or better is a clear raise under the simplified strategy. A hidden pair uses at least one player hole card and can justify a raise even when the board itself is unpaired.
A pair entirely on the board is shared by the dealer and does not meet the hidden-pair rule.
Pocket deuces exception
Pocket deuces remain weak on many flops because overcards and shared board improvements give the dealer many ways to overtake them.
The simplified rule therefore checks pocket deuces unless a stronger made hand is present.
Four-flush condition
Four cards of one suit among the player cards and flop create a flush draw. The practical rule requires a ten-or-higher player hole card in that suit.
A board-heavy flush draw without a qualifying hole card can help the dealer as much as the player.
Checking
Checking does not end the hand. It preserves the final one-times decision after the turn and river are revealed.
Do not fold on the flop; folding is available only at the final decision.

- Raise two pair or better
- Identify hidden versus board pair
- Exclude pocket deuces under the simplified rule
- Check qualifying high-card four-flush
- Otherwise preserve the river option
